We all know for a fact that looking after various facets of a household is not a simple task and many people either don’t have time to manage their homes themselves or don’t really want to spend their time or energy on this. Being aware of this fact, the client approached us with a requirement of developing a platform that would be connecting customers looking for facility management home services like deep cleaning, pest control, carpenters, AC Services, etc with the required janitorial staff. In short, the client was seeking to be the single point service provider for all household upkeep and management needs. Team Nuage created an open technical platform – web application and mobile application for the end-user and an Admin UI for the client’s use, using a common API framework hosted on the Windows server.
Client
The client is one of India’s leading providers of home repair services such as AC repair, woodwork, paint, pest control, furniture dry cleaning among others.
Business Goal
Create an integrated platform combining a back-end CRM, front end customer mobile App and website/app and customer support Web App.
Nuage Solution
We created a backend API service supporting all mobile apps (android and iOS) on Xamarin along with a website. The team also created a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for the contact center and work management with the ability to define new services on the fly. A web app for the technician was also developed by us to ensure the quality delivery of the services and immediate feedback from the end-users. Meanwhile, the back-end administration infrastructure developed by the team included billing and payments for which we integrated the Paytm payment gateway. Also, the team developed a management dashboard that enables the client to see its daily/weekly/monthly and Year To Date (YTD) details along with performing comparisons with the previous year.
Our Challenges
Template matching was an issue and the messaging API could not be integrated as the template length did not match with the length of the messages. The team discovered the issue after many hits and trials and, as a part of the solution, it had to delete the extra spaces so that the message length could match with template length. Another challenge that we faced was in integrating Paytm API. For this, the team used the form post method and integrated the payment gateway.
